Turkey Considers Joining Strait of Hormuz Demining Efforts Post Iran-US Peace Agreement
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan announced that Turkey might participate in demining operations in the Strait of Hormuz, contingent upon a peace agreement between Iran and the United States. Speaking in London, Fidan emphasized that Turkey views such humanitarian efforts positively. The demining operations would be conducted by a technical team comprising various countries, formed after a potential peace agreement. Fidan assured that Turkey would have no issues joining these operations under the specified conditions. Additionally, he mentioned that issues related to Iran's nuclear program could potentially be resolved in upcoming talks in Pakistan.
