Flood Advisory Issued for Northeast Ohio Amid Heavy Rainfall
A Flood Advisory is currently in effect for parts of northeast Ohio, including Mahoning, Portage, Stark, Summit, and Trumbull counties. The advisory, issued due to excessive rainfall, is expected to last until 7:45 PM EDT. According to the advisory, urban and small stream flooding is anticipated as Doppler radar has detected heavy rain in the area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has already fallen, leading to potential flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. The advisory highlights that areas such as Akron, Youngstown, and Warren, among others, are likely to experience flooding. Residents are urged to stay informed and exercise caution, especially in urban areas where water may pond quickly.
