Huntsville City Council Approves Major Rezoning for Housing Development
The Huntsville City Council has approved the rezoning of over 500 acres in North Huntsville for the Harris Farms development, which will introduce 1,800 housing units. This development, located near Bob Wade Lane, will feature amenities such as a resort-style pool and pickleball courts. Councilwoman Michelle Watkins emphasized the need for expansion in the area, highlighting the demand for more dining and retail options. The city is also advancing infrastructure projects, including the Northern Bypass and the North Village Town Center, which will host major retailers like Target and Home Depot.
