Costa Rica Hosts FIDE-ISCF World Schools Team Championship, Promoting Chess Education
San José, Costa Rica, is hosting the American Continental Stage of the FIDE-ISCF World Schools Team Championship from August 11 to 16, 2026. This international chess tournament brings together school students from across the Americas. The event is part of the Year of Chess in Education 2026, aiming to use chess as an educational tool. The championship includes masterclasses, workshops, and activities designed to enhance critical thinking and decision-making skills among participants.
