University of Kentucky Seeks Research Data Analysis Librarian to Enhance Data Services
The University of Kentucky Libraries is actively seeking a Research Data Analysis Librarian to bolster its research data services. This role is part of the Digital Scholarship and Data department, which focuses on research data management, digital scholarship, and GIS. The librarian will provide data analysis instruction, workshops, and consultations across various academic disciplines, supporting both qualitative and quantitative methods. The position emphasizes the development and sharing of best practices for data refinement, analysis, visualization, and modeling, with a strong focus on reproducibility and responsible research workflows. The librarian will also engage with emerging technologies, including AI-enabled approaches, to enhance data analysis and research processes. The role requires a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science or a relevant advanced degree, along with experience in data analysis, visualization, or wrangling using tools like REDCap, Python, R, and others.
