Florida Power Light Launches Assistance Center to Help Customers Manage Bills and Reduce Energy Use
Florida Power & Light Company (FPL) has introduced a new online Assistance Center designed to help customers manage their electricity bills, reduce energy consumption, and connect with financial aid programs. A key feature of this center is 'FPL Saving Steps,' a new program that offers eligible customers a one-time $200 credit towards a future electricity bill upon completion. The initiative comes as Florida experiences high summer temperatures, which typically drive up energy consumption. The Assistance Center also consolidates existing FPL and federal programs, including the Payment Extension program, the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), and the 'Care To Share' program for emergency bill-payment assistance.
