Survey Reveals Americans Trust AI Over Government for Information
A recent survey conducted by Proof Strategies reveals that Americans are more inclined to trust information from artificial intelligence than from the U.S. government. The 2025 U.S. Trust and AI Survey, which polled 1,501 adults, found that 37% of respondents trust AI searches for reliable information, compared to 31% who trust information from the government. Traditional media sources, such as local TV and newspapers, remain the most trusted, with 51% and 47% trust levels, respectively. The survey also highlights varying trust levels across social media platforms, with YouTube being the most trusted at 41%.
