Windcrest Man Arrested for Allegedly Photographing Pool Rental Guests, Including Children, with Hidden Camera
Joe Anthony Gonzales, a 62-year-old man from Windcrest, Texas, has been arrested and charged with possession or promotion of lewd visual material depicting a child. The investigation began on September 2 after a woman reported that while she and her two 7-year-old granddaughters were undressed in an outdoor bathroom at Gonzales's property, one of the children noticed someone taking photos through a hole in the wall. The woman also saw hands holding a camera through the opening. Another 17-year-old guest reported seeing eyes looking through the same hole while she was changing. Police found a brick-sized hole in the bathroom wall, which led to a garage where plywood was propped against the opening. Although Gonzales denied the allegations, he consented to a search of his phone, where officers discovered over 300 deleted photos and videos, including images of young females and a video of a minor at a track meet where Gonzales zoomed in on the girl.
