Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation Dispatches 11th Aid Convoy to Lebanon Amid Ongoing Conflict
The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO) has sent its 11th aid convoy to Lebanon, in collaboration with the Jordan Armed Forces–Arab Army. This convoy, consisting of 18 trucks, is loaded with essential medical supplies and pharmaceuticals to support communities affected by the ongoing conflict in Lebanon. Since the beginning of the crisis, Jordan has dispatched a total of 215 aid trucks to Lebanon, providing food, medical supplies, and basic relief materials. The JHCO is working closely with partners to ensure that aid reaches those most in need, based on ground assessments. The United Nations has increased its humanitarian funding appeal for Lebanon, highlighting the severe and deteriorating humanitarian crisis following four months of conflict with Israel. The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) initially requested nearly $640 million in June for relief efforts, but only $185 million has been received, prompting a request for an additional $331 million.
