Long Beach Man Receives Postcard from Late Parents 26 Years Later
Bob Sheppard, a resident of Long Beach, California, received a postcard from his late parents that was mailed 26 years ago from Copenhagen, Denmark. The postcard, signed 'M&D,' contained a brief message about their trip, describing the scenic views they encountered. Sheppard's parents have since passed away, with his mother dying four years ago and his father six years ago during the COVID-19 pandemic. The postcard's arrival was unexpected, and Sheppard views it as a 'postcard from heaven.' The delay in delivery is speculated to be due to the postcard being misplaced in the postal system and recently rediscovered.
