Russia to Halt Oil Shipments to Germany via Druzhba Pipeline, Citing Technical Reasons
Russia has announced it will suspend the shipment of Kazakh oil to Germany through the Druzhba pipeline starting May 1, citing technical reasons. This decision comes amid ongoing geopolitical tensions and a global energy crisis exacerbated by the US-Israeli conflict with Iran. The Druzhba pipeline, which runs through Russian territory, is a critical supply route for Germany, particularly for the PCK refinery that provides most of Berlin's fuel. The German Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy has stated that while the suspension poses challenges, it does not threaten the overall security of oil supply in Germany.
