Fire in New Delhi Building Claims 21 Lives, Injures Several
A devastating fire swept through a building in the Malviya Nagar neighborhood of New Delhi, resulting in the deaths of at least 21 people and injuring several others. The building housed a restaurant on the ground floor and a hotel above, in a densely populated area popular with students and young professionals. The cause of the fire is currently unknown. Firefighters, aided by local residents, managed to extinguish the blaze with the help of eight fire engines, rescuing more than 40 people who were taken to nearby hospitals. Some of the victims were foreign nationals in India for medical treatment.
