Two Injured in I-4 Eastbound Crash Near Central Florida Parkway
Two individuals sustained non-life-threatening injuries in a crash on eastbound I-4 near Central Florida Parkway in Orlando, Florida. The incident occurred around 12:45 a.m. on Friday near mile marker 71, west of State Road 528. According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), a U-Haul was stopped in the center outside lane for unknown reasons when a 2023 pump truck approached it. The driver of the pump truck attempted to swerve to avoid the U-Haul, but due to the truck's weight, was unable to stop in time. The front right portion of the pump truck struck the rear left of the U-Haul, causing the pump truck to overturn onto its left side. The 26-year-old male driver of the pump truck from Lakeland and the 75-year-old female driver of the U-Haul from Miami were transported to the hospital. Three eastbound lanes were reopened around 6:15 a.m., but the outside eastbound lane remained blocked for cleanup, causing expected delays. The FHP is currently investigating the crash.
