Egyptian President El-Sisi Reaffirms Support for Libyan Stability and Elections During Meeting with Field Marshal Haftar
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan National Army, in Cairo. During the meeting, President El-Sisi reiterated Egypt's steadfast position on Libya, emphasizing the critical need to preserve Libya's unity, work towards unifying its institutions, and facilitate parliamentary and presidential elections. The discussions, attended by Lieutenant General Khaled Haftar, Chief of Staff of the Libyan National Army, Engineer Qasim Haftar, Director of the Libya Reconstruction Fund, and Minister Hassan Rashad, Head of the General Intelligence Service, also focused on strengthening the fraternal and historic ties between Egypt and Libya.
