COTA Plans 24-Hour Bus Service and New Airport Line in Columbus
The Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) is planning to introduce 24-hour bus service on certain high-traffic routes and a new line connecting Ohio State University to John Glenn Columbus International Airport. This initiative is part of a five-year plan that includes the development of a bus rapid transit (BRT) line from Prairie Township to downtown Columbus. The BRT project is 90% designed, but construction awaits the finalization of $150 million in federal grants. COTA aims to prioritize service to business hubs and workforce areas, ensuring overnight access for workers.
