Poland's Cybersecurity Vulnerabilities Exposed by Experts at Def Con Conference
Two Polish cybersecurity experts, Robert Kruczek and Kamil Szczurowski, have uncovered significant vulnerabilities in Poland's internet infrastructure, particularly affecting government agencies and critical systems. Their findings, presented at the Def Con conference in Las Vegas, revealed that nearly 250,000 websites, including those of airports, healthcare facilities, and government agencies, are susceptible to cyberattacks. The vulnerabilities are attributed to software vendors' negligence in addressing security flaws and the absence of effective systems for reporting and rewarding vulnerability disclosures. The study highlights the ease with which these flaws can be exploited, posing a risk to Poland's public services.
