Indonesia's Ministry of Transmigration is gearing up to support a significant investment in an artificial intelligence data center in Batam, Riau Islands, valued at Rp88 trillion (approximately US$5 billion). Minister M. Iftitah Sulaiman Suryanagara emphasized the importance of this development in Nongsa, highlighting its potential to position Batam as a hub for the digital economy and technology. The ministry is committed to preparing a skilled workforce through capacity-building programs, ensuring that the local population benefits from job creation and improved public welfare. This initiative aligns with President Prabowo Subianto's directive to focus economic development on public welfare, as outlined in Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution.
