ArcFest to Host Freedom of Press and Creative Expression Event at IU Indy
An event dedicated to celebrating the freedom of the press and creative expression, named ArcFest, is scheduled to take place at IU Indy on Saturday. Organized by Mirror Indy, in partnership with WISH-TV, this storytelling and journalism event aims to encourage community members to reflect on America's first 250 years and envision a better future. Ebony Chappel, representing Free Press Indiana, Mirror Indy's parent organization, stated that the festival's name is inspired by a quote from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.: 'The arc of the moral world is long, but it bends toward justice.' The event is presented as an offering for America's 250th birthday, intended to inspire and empower individuals to consider the next chapter of the nation's history. The festival will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Hine Hall at IU Indy.
