Rheinmetall Develops New Missile Launcher for Australian Military Vehicles
Rheinmetall, a German defense manufacturer, has developed a retractable anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) launcher for Australia's Boxer Block II combat reconnaissance vehicles. The launcher, designed in collaboration with Australian firm Supashock, can carry two Spike LR II missiles and is intended to enhance the military capabilities of these vehicles. The development is part of a contract signed in 2022, initially aimed at delivering launcher pods to a NATO country, with the Australian integration possibly extending this agreement.
