A new private school utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) for education is set to open in Boston, occupying the former Croft School space in Jamaica Plain. The school, part of the Alpha network, claims that students can complete core academic subjects such as science, math, and reading in just two hours a day using AI-driven software. This model allows students to spend the rest of their day developing real-world skills like entrepreneurship and public speaking. The school plans to open two locations in Boston, with tuition fees set at $60,000 to $65,000 annually. Despite its innovative approach, the school has faced scrutiny over the security of its AI-generated curriculum and data storage practices.
