Burnham Road Reopens in Andover, Massachusetts Following MBTA Bridge Maintenance
Burnham Road in Andover, Massachusetts, has fully reopened to traffic in both directions after the completion of maintenance work on the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) railroad bridge. The bridge, which carries the Haverhill Line over Burnham Road, underwent preservation and maintenance work that began in late March. The project focused on repairing aging masonry and steel components of the structure, aiming to extend its useful life and ensure its continued safety and functionality. With the successful conclusion of these repairs, the full road closure and associated detour that were in place during the construction period have been lifted, restoring normal traffic flow for residents and commuters in the area.
