GCAP Progress Unaffected by UK Defense Investment Plan Delays
The Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP), a trilateral initiative involving Italy, Japan, and the UK, remains on track despite delays in the UK's Defense Investment Plan (DIP). At the Farnborough International Airshow, leaders from the Edgewing consortium and the GCAP Agency reaffirmed their commitment to the program. The DIP delay, which affected funding timelines, was described as a complex issue but not a hindrance to the project's progress. The GCAP aims to develop a next-generation combat aircraft, with all three nations fully committed to its success.
