Anniversary of Armenia-Azerbaijan Peace Agreement Highlights Progress and Challenges
One year after the signing of the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace agreement in Washington, significant progress has been made in normalizing relations between the two countries. The agreement, facilitated by President Trump, has maintained peace and stability in the region, while opening new opportunities for economic and transportation development. The TRIPP project, a key component of the agreement, has seen practical steps such as the transportation of cargo to Armenia through Azerbaijan and the export of Azerbaijani oil products. However, political commentator Ahmad Shahidov notes that important steps remain, including the signing of the final peace agreement and the establishment of mutual trust between the peoples of Armenia and Azerbaijan.
