Wyoming Gubernatorial Candidates Discuss Energy and Brain Drain at Forum
In Casper, Wyoming, Republican gubernatorial candidates Eric Barlow and Megan Degenfelder participated in a forum to discuss their visions for the state ahead of the primary election on August 18. The forum, held at Casper College, focused on key issues such as energy, public lands, and the state's high suicide rates. Barlow, a state senator, and Degenfelder, the Superintendent of Public Instruction, emphasized their Wyoming roots and experience in state government. Both candidates highlighted the importance of addressing Wyoming's high suicide rates and the 'brain drain' phenomenon, where young residents leave the state for better opportunities elsewhere.
