NASA Leverages AI to Unlock Discoveries in Vast Data Archives
NASA is participating in the Genesis Mission, a new White House initiative launched in November 2025, which aims to utilize artificial intelligence (AI) to analyze over 150 petabytes of data accumulated from decades of space missions. This initiative seeks to uncover potential discoveries hidden within NASA's extensive archives, which are too vast to be examined manually. The Genesis Mission is a government-wide effort involving multiple federal agencies, including the Department of Energy and the National Institutes of Health, with a focus on leveraging AI to connect and analyze data across different fields and missions.
