Motorcyclist Dies After Going Over Railing on Houston Freeway Ramp
A motorcyclist, believed to be a man in his 20s, died after a late-night crash on a Houston freeway ramp. The incident occurred around 11:35 p.m. on Tuesday on the elevated ramp connecting Interstate 45 southbound to U.S. 59 northbound, near Gray Street. Evidence at the scene indicates that the motorcycle went over the railing, causing the rider to fall into a grassy area below before coming to rest along the edge of U.S. 59 northbound, under Pierce Street. No witnesses saw the rider go over the railing, which initially made it challenging for police to pinpoint the exact location of the crash after receiving reports. The rider was pronounced dead at the scene, and his identity has not yet been released. The Houston Police Department is currently handling the investigation, and it has not been determined whether another vehicle was involved in the incident.
