Kansas City Police Use Viral Video to Identify Woman Taking Charity Donations
A viral video has led to the identification of a woman repeatedly taking donation bags from the Northland Clothing Center in Kansas City. The video, viewed nearly 2 million times, shows the woman taking full, unopened bags of donations on multiple occasions. The Northland Clothing Center, which has been providing clothing to those in need since 1959, captured the incidents on surveillance cameras. The organization posted the footage on social media, which resulted in a tip from someone in retail who had previously reported the woman for theft. The information has been handed over to the police, although no charges have been filed yet. The executive director of the center emphasized that the goal is to stop the behavior rather than pursue legal action.
