Texas Residents File Lawsuit Against MARA Holdings Over Bitcoin Mining Facility Impact
Nine residents of Texas have initiated a class-action lawsuit against Mara Holdings, a Bitcoin mining company, due to the alleged negative impact of its mining facility on their community. The plaintiffs claim that the operations of the facility have resulted in excessive noise, vibrations, and low-frequency sounds that have disrupted their daily lives and adversely affected their health. Additionally, they argue that these disturbances have led to a decrease in their property values. The lawsuit, which seeks over $1 million in damages, has been filed in the US District Court for the Northern District of Texas. The residents have also requested a jury trial to address their grievances.
