Roblox Introduces Age-Specific Accounts to Enhance Parental Control
Roblox is set to launch two new account types, Roblox Kids and Roblox Select, aimed at providing age-appropriate content and enhanced parental controls for younger users. Roblox Kids, for ages 5-8, will have restricted access to games with minimal content and no default chat, while Roblox Select, for ages 9-15, will allow access to moderately rated games and limited chat features. The changes are part of a broader effort to improve safety and content suitability for younger players. The platform will also implement automatic age progression and a three-step game approval process to ensure content appropriateness.
