Oregon Parks Department Enhances Facilities for Summer Visitors
The Oregon Parks and Recreation Department has completed a series of upgrades across several state parks to enhance visitor experiences for the summer season. These improvements include new amenities and essential repairs at various locations. Notably, Nehalem Bay State Park now features a new shower building and restrooms, while Fort Stevens State Park has upgraded its water, electrical, and wastewater utilities. Additionally, the historic gift shop at Otter Crest has undergone renovations to address structural deficiencies and improve accessibility. These efforts are part of a broader initiative to maintain and enhance the state's park facilities, despite budget constraints that have led to the implementation of parking fees at over 40 parks.
