The game, initially set to start at 6:30 p.m. CT, was delayed by an hour due to the weather conditions, but ultimately had to be called off. This marks another instance of weather-related disruptions in the region, which has been experiencing significant rainfall recently. Despite the cancellation, both teams maintained their tradition by meeting at home plate for a handshake line. Fans who attended the game will receive complimentary standing room tickets for future games against Sam Houston or UTSA.
