Oklahoma Principal Honored as Prom King After Heroic Act in School Shooting
In Oklahoma, Principal Kirk Moore of Pauls Valley High School has been celebrated as a hero after he intervened in a school shooting incident. On April 7, a former student entered the school armed with a handgun, intending to carry out a mass shooting. Moore, along with another staff member, tackled the intruder, preventing further harm. Although Moore was shot in the leg during the altercation, no students were injured. The suspect, reportedly obsessed with the 1999 Columbine High School shooting, was subdued and later arrested, facing multiple charges including shooting with intent to kill. Days after the incident, Moore was honored by his students at the school prom, where he was crowned prom king. The emotional moment was captured on video and shared on TikTok, quickly going viral and garnering over 2.8 million views. The video shows Moore being greeted with cheers and applause, highlighting the gratitude and admiration from the school community for his bravery.
