NSF Awards $15 Million to 12 Regional Innovation Engines for Technology Growth
The U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) has awarded $15 million each to 12 new Regional Innovation Engines to develop technology clusters and workforce programs across 20 states. These engines will focus on technologies such as artificial intelligence, quantum computing, semiconductors, and biotechnology. The initiative aims to expand research, move technologies toward deployment, and prepare workers for emerging jobs. Universities leading these engines include Indiana University, Iowa State University, and the University of Connecticut. The NSF Engines are expected to be transformational for America's innovation infrastructure, securing national competitiveness in critical technologies.
