Parked Car Prevents Tragedy in East Texas After Driver Falls Asleep
In Huntington, Texas, a potentially tragic accident was averted when a driver fell asleep at the wheel, causing their vehicle to veer off Highway 69. The car, a white Honda, crossed into the northbound lanes and struck a parked 2024 Ford Bronco at a nearby business. The impact redirected the Honda, preventing it from continuing into a donut shop where a 10-year-old child was playing. The Huntington Police Department highlighted the role of the parked Bronco in averting a more serious incident, noting that the vehicle's presence altered the Honda's path, potentially saving lives.
