When Major US Cities Could Feel the Nor’easter’s Impacts
A powerful nor’easter is set to bring rain, strong winds and coastal flooding to the Northeast from Friday through Monday. Rain will spread from North Carolina to Cape Cod Friday, with 2–4 inches possible from New Jersey to Maine and up to 4–6 inches around Boston and Long Island. Winds could gust to 60 mph along parts of the coast, while New York City could see gusts near 45 mph Saturday morning. Waves may reach 12 feet from the Outer Banks to New Jersey and 17 feet from Massachusetts to Maine, raising risks of beach erosion, flooding, power outages and flight disruptions.
