Milestone Study on Plastics Waste Management in Mexico Highlights Circular Economy
A comprehensive study on post-consumption plastics waste management in Mexico has been released, focusing on the recycling and secondary markets for thermoplastic resins. This study, part of a broader initiative by the Commission for Environmental Cooperation (CEC), aims to transform recycling and solid waste management practices across North America. It provides an overview of the current state of plastics recovery and recycling, highlighting existing public policies and regulations within a circular economy framework. The study also offers recommendations to enhance Mexico's waste management system, promoting sustainable practices and economic benefits.
