U.S. Customs and Border Protection Donates Seized Goods to World Vision for Humanitarian Aid
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Miami and Tampa Field Office has partnered with World Vision to donate a substantial quantity of seized cabinets. This initiative transforms merchandise, originally confiscated through CBP enforcement actions, into resources for humanitarian support globally. The donation, comprising approximately 6,846 boxes of cabinets (equivalent to about six shipping containers), will be distributed by World Vision through its humanitarian partners to communities in Africa and Central America. This action follows the completion of all necessary legal and administrative processes under CBP’s Fines, Penalties and Forfeitures program, allowing for the donation of eligible goods instead of their destruction or other disposal methods.
