Forsyth Tech Recognized as Top 25 Community College in the U.S. by Aspen Institute
Forsyth Technical Community College has been recognized as one of the top 25 community colleges in the United States by an international think tank, the Aspen Institute. This recognition is part of the Aspen Institute's evaluation for its top prize, which seeks to identify community colleges that deliver positive outcomes for their students. Forsyth Tech has achieved significant milestones, including doubling its graduation rate over the past five years and tripling it for minority students. The college has also seen its enrollment grow to the highest level in over a decade, providing pathways to stable employment for its students. President Janet Spriggs attributes these successes to the dedicated faculty and the college's efforts to address barriers faced by adult learners, such as daycare, transportation, and food insecurity.
