Structure Therapeutics Publishes Phase 2b Study Results for Obesity Treatment
Structure Therapeutics has published results from its Phase 2b ACCESS clinical trial of aleniglipron, an oral small molecule GLP-1 receptor agonist for obesity, in Nature Medicine. The study demonstrated significant weight loss in participants, with continued weight reduction observed in an open-label extension phase. The trial also showed improvements in cardiovascular risk factors. These findings support the design of an upcoming Phase 3 program, set to begin in the third quarter of 2026. Aleniglipron's potential as a once-daily oral treatment could offer a new option for obesity management.
