Wind Causes Set Cancellation at Coachella Day 1
The first day of Coachella 2026 was marked by a mix of impressive performances and unexpected challenges. While the festival enjoyed generally favorable weather, strong winds led to the cancellation of Anyma's set, which was supposed to close the Coachella stage with a new "ÃDEN experience." Despite the wind, other late-night performances continued as planned. The Desert Sun reported that the winds did not seem stronger than previous years, yet the decision was made to prioritize safety. The festival's opening day featured memorable performances from artists like Sabrina Carpenter and The xx, with the latter playing their first Coachella show in 13 years.
