Emma Coronel Aispuro Discusses Relationship with Joaquín 'El Chapo' Guzmán in Recent Interview
Emma Coronel Aispuro, wife of convicted drug lord Joaquín 'El Chapo' Guzmán, recently shared details about her relationship with him during a nearly six-hour broadcast on Kick with influencers Víctor Ordóñez and Guillermo Peña. Coronel recounted meeting Guzmán when she was 17 at a dance in 2007, several months after she was crowned queen of a beauty pageant. She described Guzmán as a 'gentleman' who was respectful and sent her flowers. They married on her 18th birthday. Coronel, who gave birth to their twin daughters in 2011, stated that Guzmán enjoyed long walks in the mountains, riding motorcycles, and gambling, but was not addicted. She also mentioned that they never went a month without contact, though traveling together was not possible. Coronel has not seen Guzmán since his sentencing to life in prison on July 17, 2019, as the Federal Bureau of Prisons has banned her and their daughters from having contact with him.
