Horn Farm Center Reopens Historic Farmhouse as Community Learning Center
The Horn Farm Center for Agricultural Education in York County, Pennsylvania, has reopened its historic 1840s farmhouse after extensive renovations. The building, which had been severely damaged by a lightning-induced fire in 2021, has been restored over nearly five years with an investment exceeding one million dollars. The farmhouse will now function as a community learning center, offering classroom space and facilities designed to promote agricultural education. The reopening coincided with the center's 14th annual Plant Sale, attracting visitors and agricultural enthusiasts who celebrated the restoration and the center's educational mission. Executive Director Alexis Campbell emphasized the community's role in the restoration, highlighting the support from individuals, businesses, and local foundations.
