UnitedHealthcare Expands Behavioral Coaching Program for Youths to 13 Million Commercial Members
UnitedHealthcare is significantly expanding access to its child and family behavioral coaching program, making it available to 13 million commercial members. This program targets low-severity behavioral health needs in young people and their families, including mild to moderate anxiety, ADHD, bullying, depression, and sleep difficulties. The initiative emphasizes early intervention and education to prevent these concerns from escalating. Initially launched in 2023 for select fully insured health plan clients, the expansion now includes an additional 5 million individuals at no extra cost to their employers. Participants can access up to four virtual coaching sessions monthly, with appointments available within 48 hours, along with unlimited secure messaging and educational resources.
