LoveLife Foundation Honors Daughter's Legacy by Supporting At-Risk Youth in Oakland
The LoveLife Foundation, founded in memory of LoEshe, a gifted conflict resolution mediator who was tragically killed at 16, continues to support at-risk youth in Oakland, California. The foundation, named after LoEshe, which means 'Love Life' in Igbo and Nigerian languages, provides college scholarships, financial literacy programs, and leadership development. Over the past 29 years, the foundation has served approximately 30,000 youth through various programs and events. Despite financial constraints, with 70% of funds going directly to students and their families, the foundation remains committed to its mission. The founder, inspired by her daughter's vision of community unity and joy, continues to lead the organization, finding solace and motivation in the impact on the lives of young people.
