Man Dies, Two Injured in Jessup Crash Following Police Pursuit
A man died and two other individuals were injured in Jessup, Maryland, after a car involved in a hit-and-run with a police vehicle subsequently crashed. Howard County police reported that a 2018 Infiniti Q60 struck a patrol car, which had an officer inside, in the 7100 block of Montevideo Road before fleeing the scene. The officer pursued the Infiniti, which then crashed into a retaining wall approximately one mile away. The male driver of the Infiniti was pronounced dead at the scene. The two injured individuals were transported to Shock Trauma, where their conditions are reported as stable. The Maryland Attorney General's Independent Investigations Division has taken over the investigation into this fatal crash.
