New Hampshire Congressional Candidate Shaheen Attacks Opponent Sullivan Over Pro-Israel Donor Ties
Stefany Shaheen, a candidate for New Hampshire’s 1st Congressional District, has launched a TV advertisement criticizing her primary opponent, Maura Sullivan, for allegedly receiving $300,000 in donations from individuals who have previously contributed to AIPAC. The ad also references support for Sullivan from Jeff Bezos and a contractor for Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Shaheen's campaign spokesperson, Emma Greenberg, accused Sullivan of being “beholden” to AIPAC and stated that Shaheen supported an amendment to cut off $3.3 billion in U.S. aid to Israel. This attack comes despite Sullivan's recent shift towards a more critical stance on Israel policy, with her spokesperson, Emmett Avery, stating that Sullivan has not received money from AIPAC, would not accept its endorsement, and advocates for a “full reevaluation of the U.S.-Israel security relationship,” arguing against a “blank check for offensive weapons.”
