Lincoln-Lancaster County Planning Commission Approves Major Land Expansion for Park, Cricket Field, and Beetle Protection
The Lincoln-Lancaster County Planning Commission has unanimously approved a proposal to add over 150 acres to the city of Lincoln, Nebraska. This expansion is part of a plan by the city's Parks and Recreation Department to create a new nature area northwest of North 27th Street and Arbor Road. The project includes the development of the city's first public cricket field, which is designed to also serve as a full-size collegiate soccer field, addressing a significant demand for such a facility.
