PP Spokesperson Ester Muñoz Revives Pegasus Espionage Claims to Question Spanish Government's Morocco Policy
Ester Muñoz, the PP spokesperson in Congress, has revived the Pegasus espionage case, suggesting it explains an alleged 'submission' of Pedro Sánchez's government to Morocco. Muñoz asserts that 'there is something' that has made the president and his government submissive to Rabat and is demanding the declassification of all documentation related to the espionage of several Executive members' phones. The investigation into the Pegasus infections of phones belonging to Pedro Sánchez, Margarita Robles, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, and Luis Planas was provisionally closed in July 2023 by the Audiencia Nacional. The judge, José Luis Calama, cited a lack of cooperation from Israel as the reason for the closure, as Israeli authorities had not responded to the rogatory commission from Spanish Justice.
