Cathay Pacific Expands Long-Haul Network with Increased Madrid Flights and New Codeshares
Cathay Pacific is set to expand its long-haul network and enhance its presence in Latin America for the upcoming northern winter season. Starting October 25, 2026, the airline will increase its Hong Kong-Madrid flights from four times weekly to daily, adding new frequencies on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. This expansion supports new codeshare agreements with Iberia, extending Cathay's reach to Buenos Aires, Fortaleza, Recife, and Santo Domingo. Additionally, Cathay Pacific will increase its Christchurch-Hong Kong service from three to five times weekly from December through February 2027, reflecting a strategic push to boost connectivity and passenger capacity.
