Spring Mulberry Expands Nationwide Chocolate Recall Due to Salmonella Concerns
Spring & Mulberry has expanded its nationwide recall of chocolate bars after identifying a potential salmonella contamination. The recall, initially limited, now includes a broader range of products following a root-cause analysis. The investigation, conducted with manufacturing partners and the FDA, pinpointed a specific lot of date ingredient as the likely source of contamination. Despite the recall, all finished products have tested negative for salmonella, and no illnesses have been reported. The affected chocolate bars, available since August 2025, include various flavors such as Blood Orange, Coffee, and Mint Leaf. Consumers are advised not to consume the affected products and can obtain refunds by photographing the packaging and contacting the company.
